Imagine investing in premium real estate with the same ease as buying stocks online. That was the bold vision of HoneyBricks—a Silicon Valley–based, blockchain-powered fractional real estate investment platform. Their platform enabled investors to access institutional-quality real estate through tokenized offerings, with greater liquidity and lower minimums.
Already operating with a live product and growing customer base, HoneyBricks aimed to evolve rapidly. They needed a dedicated partner to enhance their existing design system, deliver sophisticated UX/UI designs, and support their ambitious growth.
That’s when they found Denovers. Given our proven experience in designing B2B SaaS products, the client was inclined to give us a trial as their design partner.
Starting with a Trial That Turned into a Two-Year Partnership
HoneyBricks initially engaged Denovers for a trial sprint to evaluate how well our design team could adapt to their existing design system, work within their product environment, and contribute on an ongoing basis.
We assigned a dedicated product designer who integrated directly into their Slack, Figma, and Jira systems, with Loom-based asynchronous collaboration as the primary feedback loop. From day one, our designer was embedded in their product team.

The first few tasks involved improving components and flows on their investor platform—and the results impressed them enough to convert the trial into a long-term partnership.
Our Role: Remote Product Design + Frontend Engineering Partner
We weren’t just a design vendor—we became an extension of the HoneyBricks internal team. For over two years, our senior designer worked closely with their CEO, iterating rapidly, aligning with business goals, and launching new features regularly.
Eventually, we were also brought on for frontend development. A senior ReactJS engineer from Denovers joined their engineering team and took charge of frontend implementation—from responsive UI to dynamic data integration with APIs.
Investor Dashboard Redesign
In collaboration with the product team, our designer revamped the investor dashboard to provide deeper insights and better engagement. New widgets were added for tracking asset distributions, upcoming contributions, performance graphs, and real-time portfolio summaries. The interface offered investors a detailed view of their options, performance, and portfolio health. With real-time insights, downloadable documents, and visualized metrics, the dashboard became a trusted decision-making tool—boosting both confidence and clarity.

Streamlined Investment Flows: Friction Out, Flow In
Investing through HoneyBricks became effortless. We redesigned the entire investment onboarding journey, making it intuitive, user-friendly, and lightning-fast. What once felt tedious now felt seamless, leading to faster onboarding, higher user satisfaction, and increased conversion rates.

Account Member Feature: Investing, Now a Team Sport
Managing investments is rarely a solo mission, so we introduced the ability for users to add team members to their accounts. Whether it’s a financial advisor, business partner, or co-investor, users can now collaborate securely and efficiently within their dashboards. This feature empowered teams to make unified, informed decisions without the back-and-forth email clutter.

Banking Flow: More Flexibility, More Control
Originally restricted to just one linked account, the banking experience was limiting. We transformed that by allowing users to connect multiple bank accounts, assign a primary account, and allocate different accounts for different investment entities. This added layer of flexibility and control made managing funds faster, easier, and tailored to real-world investor needs.

Accreditation Flow: From Confusing to Crystal Clear
The original accreditation process was lengthy, cluttered, and intimidating. To fix that, we collaborated closely with HoneyBricks' product team to rethink the flow from the ground up. The result? A simplified, self-guided accreditation process that lets users clearly select their investment objectives and credentials. No more guesswork, just a smooth, intuitive experience that boosts completion rates and keeps users moving forward.

The New Product: A Platform for Sponsors
As the product evolved into a two-sided marketplace, they needed a dedicated space for sponsors—where property managers could manage offerings, track investor activity, and handle compliance with ease.
The goal was clear: create a seamless experience for General Partners and Fund Managers to raise capital, streamline investor relations, and foster a thriving investment community.

Through multiple strategy sessions with the CEO and product leads, we mapped out exactly what the platform needed to offer:
We hit the ground running by diving deep into the vision behind GP Flow. Through multiple strategy sessions with the CEO and product leads, we mapped out exactly what this product needed to do:
- Attract and onboard investors faster
- Simplify fund management
- Automate time-consuming operational tasks
This way, we knew that they wanted modern software with add-on services that would help in:
- Fast investor onboarding
- Self-service portals
- ACH distribution at scale
- Cap table management
- Accreditation and KYC
- Built-in CRM tools
- Fund marketing flows
- Third-party integrations
- Branding and white-labeling
- Audit trails, team features, and more
Armed with that clarity, we began crafting a sophisticated yet intuitive platform. Let us walk you through our design workings for GP Flow to create a modern, smart, and completely user-first sponsor view for users.

Custom Sign-Up That Felt Personal
We kicked things off by creating a fully customized signup and login experience for each sponsor. This white-labelled flow gave every brand its own look and feel, making onboarding feel personal, professional, and powerful.
- Full brand customization
- Personalized investor access
- A smoother first impression

Smart Search and AI Assistance
We built an AI-powered search and insights system with a sticky generative AI assistant that answered platform-specific questions in real-time. Sponsors could instantly access usage stats, investor activity, and document data through smart summaries and powerful search. A GPT-powered chatbot analyzed real estate documents, offering context and quick insights to help sponsors find offerings, investor data, or documents faster.

Insightful Dashboards for Better Decisions
To help sponsors track performance and make data-driven decisions, we designed intuitive dashboards filled with meaningful metrics.
- Investment activity at a glance
- Contact tracking and behaviour logs
- Contributions, distributions, and page views

Build and Launch New Offerings Seamlessly
We created an offering management flow that gave sponsors full control. They could now create new offerings, upload supporting documents, media, and FAQs, define key metrics, and track every prospect’s stage in the funnel.

Prospect Flow: From Lead to Shareholder
One of the most complex features we designed was the multi-stage prospect flow. From discovery to funding, sponsors could manage leads across different stages with complete visibility and automation.
- Track investor movement across the funnel
- Push prospects to the signed and funded stages
- Automatically issue shares upon investment

Contact Detail Management
We built an all-in-one contact view, allowing sponsors to manage profiles with precision. From eligibility to tax documents, every detail was easy to access and act upon.
- Subscriptions and positions
- Transactions and documents
- Email and entity management

A Settings Page That Packs a Punch
The settings section became a powerhouse for managing everything behind the scenes.
It included:
- CRM and third-party integrations
- Brand and investor portal controls
- Swag settings
- Personal, company, and bank info
- Team and email management
- Audit logs and user activity tracking

Why Our Collaboration Worked
Our partnership worked because we functioned like an in-house team. Our designer and frontend engineer integrated directly with HoneyBricks’ Slack, Figma, and Jira systems, using Loom-based async collaboration to stay in sync.
More importantly, our team brought their own ideas to the table—offering design suggestions that added clarity, simplicity, and value. The client welcomed our proactive contributions, and we built a feedback loop rooted in trust and mutual respect.

Results
HoneyBricks became one of the most intuitive and comprehensive real estate investment platforms in the industry. Our design made investing and managing portfolios more accessible. Our frontend development brought those ideas to life seamlessly.
The startup was eventually acquired by EquityMultiple, a major player in the real estate investment space. We’re proud to have played a role in their journey from early-stage to acquisition.

Their team has been great – very strong design skills, and we've been able to rapidly iterate and develop a great product. Coordination is very smooth. We made the Denovers designer part of our internal team." — CEO, HoneyBricks
