Back in the day, content creators faced a major pain point — every new video or podcast had to be manually reformatted, trimmed, and uploaded individually across various platforms. Repurpose.io, a visionary SaaS product, emerged to solve this problem: creators could upload content once and let the tool automatically repurpose and distribute it everywhere — Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and more.
While the idea was revolutionary, the product’s early user experience (UX) was not. The design was clunky, confusing, and lacked onboarding guidance, leading to user frustration, missed feature adoption, and churn.
That’s when Repurpose.io’s CEO approached Denovers as they wanted to redesign the entire product experience to boost user retention, product exploration, and ultimately, conversions.
The main issue
The problem wasn’t the technology. It was how users experienced the product. Repurpose.io had a powerful backend but was bottlenecked by:
- An overwhelming, non-intuitive onboarding flow.
- No clear separation between inputs (sources) and outputs (destinations).
- Confusing workflows with no use-case guidance.
- A poor landing page experience hurts conversion rates.
Denovers was brought in to run a full UX Audit — identifying weak points, providing actionable recommendations, and eventually redesigning both the SaaS platform and its marketing website.
UX Audit: Finding the Gaps
Our team conducted an extensive UX and Website Audit, analyzing Repurpose.io's performance, onboarding flows, landing pages, and SaaS platform usability.
Key findings included:
- Website speed issues impacting bounce rates: Desktop site took 8+ seconds to load, Mobile over 23 seconds.
- Hero messaging overload: Too much text without clearly communicating the core value proposition.
- Landing page CTA visibility was poor, weakening conversion.
- Onboarding confusion: New users were dropped into a blank workflow creation screen with no guidance.
- Connection management ambiguity: Users struggled to differentiate between input and output sources.
We didn’t just stop at problems; we presented detailed recommendations, from performance optimizations to structural UX changes aimed at driving user success.
Full Engagement: Redesigning Repurpose.io for Simplicity and Scale
Once the audit was delivered, the Repurpose.io team was so impressed that they partnered with us for the complete redesign.
Here’s how we rebuilt the product from the ground up:
Clear Information Architecture
One of the first areas we tackled was organizing Repurpose.io's previously scattered structure. In the current product, there were just workflows which had numerous experience problems as a user the starting point was not clear. The Product experience was not self explanatory.
We analyzed this problem and we realized Repurpose users needed a clear mental model to understand how different parts of the platform connected and worked together. By introducing a logical flow, we made the user journey smoother and more intuitive from start to finish.
Here’s how we broke down the information architecture to create a seamless experience:
- ■Dashboard :
A centralized place was introduced where users can see their latest projects, workflows and recent connections.
- ■Projects:
Group multiple workflows (we will discuss them in detail later) into organized folders for better management specially for Agencies use cases where they have to manage multiple clients so each client refers to one new project.
- ■Connections:
A defined separate area for managing entire input source and output destination connections. Users can manage the integration of their Facebook, youtube, Linkedin, Spotify etc accounts here.
- ■Workflows:
We redesigned workflows by keeping user goals in mind. The entire workflow was converted into goal based output where new intuitive steppers were introduced. We will discuss this later in detail.
This restructuring immediately reduced user confusion, increased task completion rates, and encouraged deeper product exploration.
Now let's discuss them in detail.
Streamlined Connections
Repurpose.io’s previous system blurred the lines between sources and destinations, leaving users lost. We needed to make this distinction crystal clear.
Here’s how we made connecting platforms intuitive:
Separated Tabs: Clear division between Input (source) and Output (destination) connections.
Platform Logos and Types: Visual identifiers to quickly recognize platforms and their role.
Step-by-Step Setup Guidance: Simplified connection process with actionable, clear instructions.
By clarifying the connection system, users set up integrations 40% faster and encountered fewer support tickets related to platform confusion.
Workflows creation and Management: Simplified and Intuitive
Workflow creation was the heart of Repurpose.io’s promise, but it felt overwhelming. We reimagined it as a natural, guided experience aligned with user goals. We created a step-by-step user flow so that they could easily convert their content and repurpose it on different platforms.
We Introduced the real use case goal based starting point for workflows. After studying users, we realized that users have specific use cases in their mind when they want to repurpose their content. For example, there might be Youtube content creators who want to repurpose their videos directly to Facebook. Similarly there might be a Facebook Live creator who wants to convert his live video to a series of Linkedin videos.
We know that new users need immediate guidance — not just tools, but clear starting points — to succeed without frustration.
Here’s how we redesigned onboarding to drive success from the first interaction:
- Use-Case Templates: Offered real-world examples like "YouTube → Facebook Videos" and "Audio Podcast → Audiogram for Instagram." Being by picking a real-world use case.
- Goal-Oriented Paths: Allowed users to select outcomes they wanted and see pre-built workflows.
- Easy input/output Pairing: Connect source and destination platforms seamlessly.
- Smart Recommendations: Suggested templates based on the user’s platform connections.
- Customized Automation Settings: Personalize content layout, snippets, and privacy settings in a clean, minimal flow.
We created multiple pre built in workflows for different use cases, like:
- Facebook to LinkedIn
- Facebook to Twitter
- Facebook to Audio Podcast
- Facebook to IGTV
- Facebook to YouTube and etc

Video Management and Publishing
Next, we realized that instead of just doing things in the background - the product needs to flaunt its real value to the creators. For that, we need to involve users in the behind the scene process.
Also users needed better control and visibility over their content automation before repurposing it. To solve this problem, we designed a centralized hub that gave them the space to play around with input content.
Here’s how we upgraded content management:
Centralized Content Library: All imported Video and Audio content is visible in one place.
Status Tracking: Easily see if content pieces are queued, scheduled, or published.
Flexible Publishing: Choose between Auto-publish or Manual Publish options.
Snippets and Edits: Preview, edit, and customize video / audio snippets before publishing.
Providing a visual, centralized library increased user trust in the automation process and reduced manual errors and rework.
Now while we were at the final stage of SaaS redesign, we were asked by the CEO to start working on the Website Landing page.
And the goal was not just to simply prettify the page, but to bring in the business value proposition directly to the website so that users can better understand the product offering.

Website Redesign for Higher Conversions
Repurpose.io’s marketing site was suffering from slow loading times, cluttered messaging, and unclear CTAs — all costing conversions. We first started with the Hero section.
Here’s how we rebuilt the website for performance and persuasion:
- Simplified Hero Section: Clear, punchy headline paired with a strong supporting visual.
- Platform Walkthroughs: Visual demonstrations of supported content platforms.
- Stronger CTAs: “Get Started for Free” is emphasized prominently throughout.
- Personal Demo Option: Added CEO-led personal demo opportunities for high-intent visitors.
- Streamlined Testimonials: Switched to a rotating highlights format for social proof.
- Flexible Pricing Strategy: Removed rigid pricing for agencies to enable upsells.
- The goal: Capture visitor attention quickly, communicate value instantly, and guide them into signups or demos.
Collaboration Style: Weekly Reviews and Live User Feedback
Throughout the redesign process, we maintained a highly collaborative engagement model. We held weekly meetings with Repurpose.io’s CEO to present progress, walk through designs, and gather feedback. The CEO actively presented our designed
prototypes to live users and collected real-time feedback, which allowed us to refine and optimize flows quickly.
In parallel, we also initiated regular handoff sessions with front-end developers, ensuring a smooth transition from design to development. Post-development, we conducted design audits to ensure pixel-perfect implementation.
Moreover, the CEO showcased the new designs in their community, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback — a testament to the impact of the UX transformation on their brand perception and user excitement.
