However, as they rapidly expanded, their digital experience struggled to keep up. Their applications—one for riders and another for operators—felt outdated, affecting both usability and engagement. While the company already had an in-house Design team, the expansion of features demanded instant design support that could bring value from Day 1.

That’s when they found Denovers. With a proven track record of designing and refining digital experiences at scale, Denovers stepped in as an extension of the internal team. A dedicated designer was embedded within the client’s product team, ensuring seamless collaboration that prioritized consistency, efficiency, and an elevated user experience.

After initial onboarding calls, the designer started grasping the app’s existing design system and components. They became a fully embedded part of the team, participating in daily scrums, sprint meetings, and strategy sessions. Together, we researched, brainstormed, and developed multiple iterations for every flow, ensuring each design choice was backed by usability insights and real user feedback.

The existing map interface was cluttered, overwhelming users with unnecessary information. This visual noise distracted riders from essential tasks like locating a vehicle or navigating routes.

We introduced a floating panel design, decluttering the interface and focusing attention on key actions. By presenting only relevant features within a sleek, intuitive panel, we created a more seamless and distraction-free navigation experience.

Riders could now instantly access the most critical features without unnecessary friction, making the process of locating and renting a vehicle significantly smoother.

A core challenge with the old design was inconsistent input fields, which affected usability and accessibility. Users found the text fields unintuitive, leading to errors and inefficiencies.

Our designer explored multiple input field designs, tested them with real users, and settled on a Material Design-inspired approach that aligned with industry standards. This ensured scalability, ease of use, and a visually harmonious design system that could evolve with the product.

The result: a more intuitive form experience, reducing input errors and making interactions feel fluid and responsive.

The app previously used static banners for system messages, which took up unnecessary space and disrupted the user experience. Important notifications were often missed.

We replaced these with snackbars—floating message boxes that provide non-intrusive updates without blocking interactions. A close button was added to give users more control.

Now, users receive real-time feedback without distraction, staying engaged and informed simultaneously.

The vehicle detail screen was frequently accessed but overwhelmed users with excessive information.

We focused on content prioritization and visual clarity. After multiple structured layout iterations, the version selected struck a perfect balance between detail and simplicity.

Users could quickly scan and act on vehicle details, improving decision-making and reducing cognitive load.

The operator app was critical for backend fleet management. The previous UI was cluttered and made it hard to assess vehicle statuses at a glance.

We introduced a clean, component-based layout with intuitive data visualizations. E-scooters and e-bikes were represented using distinct icons, with battery levels and key indicators clearly shown.

Operators could now manage and monitor the fleet with ease, leading to faster decisions and better operational efficiency.

We created custom MapView Pins for both the rider and operator apps, making it easier than ever to spot and select available e-scooters and e-bikes.
Each pin is designed with a distinct icon based on the vehicle type and shows the battery level at a glance, so users can instantly decide which option works best for their journey.

This smart pin system not only made navigation seamless but also accelerated decision-making for everyone involved.
