Picture this: a high-paced, style-savvy German startup disrupting the fashion world with two-hour deliveries of premium clothing. Arive wasn’t just another e-commerce player, it was trying to become the go-to name for fast luxury fashion. With a mobile app already making waves, it was time to scale up its presence on the web.

But bringing the fast, sleek, luxurious mobile experience to the desktop was no small task. That’s where Denovers stepped in.

The Gaps We Found

Arive had a bold vision. It wanted to become the go-to destination for fast fashion that feels like luxury. While their mobile app had set the tone, the web experience wasn’t keeping up. The site looked busy, felt clunky, and didn’t match the elegance they were aiming for across different devices.

Some of the main problems we identified when we first stepped in were:

  • The navigation was cluttered
  • Search and filter experiences were clunky
  • The layout didn’t adapt fluidly across devices
  • Visual content lacked structure and brand cohesion

Together with Arive, we set out to build a web experience that was not only beautiful and modern but also smart, scalable, and optimized for decision-making on the fly.

How did it all begin?

Denovers began with a free trial, where one of our product designers quickly delivered high-fidelity concepts for the navigation and layout grid. Pleased with the outcome and collaboration speed, Arive brought Denovers on board to lead the complete redesign of the webshop.

The designer from Denovers was integrated into Arive’s internal product team, participating in daily scrums, engineering syncs, QA reviews, and CEO presentations.

Crafting the New Navigation

The old navigation was noisy. There were too many categories, an unclear structure, and an overall lack of breathing space. Since navigation is the backbone of any e-commerce experience, we made it our priority. We looked at what was working in the luxury commerce space, collaborated closely with Arive’s design team, and landed on a solution that was clean, focused, and designed to help users move fast.

Let us explain the key changes we made to simplify and elevate the navigation experience:

  • A minimal top bar with breathing space
  • Integrated, non-intrusive search icon
  • A clear hierarchy of categories with scalable logic

This resulted in a navigation that feels intuitive and effortless, driving users exactly where they want to go without the overwhelmed.

Making Search Feel Magical

Previously, the search felt more like a dead end than a starting point. It didn’t guide users or inspire discovery, which is a big miss in fast fashion. We knew we had to make the search not just better, but powerful enough to drive conversions. So we created a system where users could see results, suggestions, and inspiration all at once, almost like window shopping, but at warp speed.

Here’s how we brought that to life:

  • Predictive UI showing trending items and previous searches
  • Dual-pane layout: suggestions on one side, matching products on the other
  • Smooth handoff from search input to product grid

With this approach, users could make faster, more confident decisions without hitting dead ends.

Responsive Design Through Breakpoints

Arive’s shoppers aren’t tied to one device. They bounce from mobile to desktop and back in a single day. But their old web layout didn’t adapt fluidly, leading to jarring breaks in the experience. To fix that, we built a responsive system from the ground up, optimizing every breakpoint to deliver the same premium feel, no matter the screen size.

Let us summarize the responsive design strategy we put in place:

  • Defined 4 breakpoints: mobile, tablet, small desktop, widescreen
  • Optimized touch targets and layout integrity for each screen type
  • Consistent brand experience, regardless of device

Thanks to this shift, users now enjoy a cohesive, delightful experience whether they’re browsing from a phone in a café or a widescreen monitor at home.

Dynamic On-Demand Curation Pages

In fashion, timing is everything. Arive needed a way to respond to trends and seasons in real time. So we created flexible, campaign-ready pages that could be spun up instantly, designed specifically for weather, moments, or moods.
Let us show you how we did this:

  • “Rainy Day Looks,” “Spring Edit,” and more
  • Each page is designed for brand narrative and commercial impact
  • Easily reusable for new campaigns

This system not only boosted engagement but also gave Arive’s team the power to launch fresh experiences on demand, with zero developer bottlenecks.

Premium Banner & Visual Systems

The banner is often a shopper’s first impression, and Arive’s old setup didn’t do justice to the luxury brands they carried. Every brand has its own identity, but Arive needed consistency across the board.

The solution we decided to go with respected brand guidelines while still feeling distinctly "Arive." We created visuals for each brand that aligned with Arive’s own aesthetic.

Here’s what that system included:

  • Modular banner slots built for the hero and in-line use
  • Components designed for quick swap-outs during promo seasons

This way, a polished, professional look was achieved that gave every brand its moment while still tying everything back to Arive’s premium identity.

Design Culture and Communication

From the start, this wasn’t just a handoff project. It was a real partnership. One of our designers became embedded in Arive’s team, syncing daily, sharing quick feedback on Figma, and solving UX challenges in real time. Beyond the design work, we built genuine connections, bonding over football banter, swapping food recommendations, and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

Let us highlight how we stayed aligned throughout:

  • Daily alignment calls
  • Instant Figma feedback rounds
  • UX issues resolved collaboratively on the go

That level of trust and transparency helped us move fast and design smarter together

What Came Out of It?

Working hand-in-hand with Arive, we didn’t just fix screens—we reimagined their web experience from the ground up. The results spoke volumes.

  • Increased conversion rates
  • Higher average order values
  • More structured design operations across internal teams
  • Faster launch of new campaigns thanks to reusable systems

Together, we transformed Arive’s web presence into something just as fast and fashionable as the brand itself.
