Warehouse management? That sounds easy. Just stack the boxes and keep track, right? Wrong. It’s a juggling act of inventory, space, labor, and last-minute surprises that can turn into a logistical nightmare.
A report by McKinsey & Company in 2019 found that about £300 billion (approximately $385 billion) is spent each year worldwide on overall warehousing costs.
WeCrunch saw this market gap and came up with the vision of creating a groundbreaking digital solution to simplify warehouse management. They envisioned creating a product that was intuitive, powerful, and built for real-world warehouse challenges. But they didn’t have a designer to create this project.
Denovers Stepped Forward to Bring It to Life
WeCrunch chose to collaborate with a trusted design agency that:
- Had experience handling data-intensive applications.
- Could simplify complex workflows for easy user understanding.
- Was capable of crafting a visually engaging UI.
That’s what led them to Denovers. And the cherry on top was that WeCrunch had immense trust in our design agency as we were already working on designing one of their products, a self-service analytics application.
The Design Process Begins!
Since there was an established trust already, there was no need to offer a demo to WeCrunch, so we jumped straight to it!

Basic Research
We kicked off with in-depth research for Warewolf as we had to make its design from scratch. So, we started off with the research process to design an intuitive platform that turns chaotic warehouse operations into a seamless, digital experience.
Competitive Analysis
Before shaping Warewolf’s identity, we analyzed existing solutions in the market. Studying competitors helped us understand industry standards, identify gaps, and define the core features Warewolf needed. This research also guided our decisions on user flow and screen architecture, ensuring we built a product that was both intuitive and efficient.
High-Fidelity Iterations
Once the structure was in place, we moved on to high-fidelity iterations, translating wireframes into polished designs. At this stage, we fine-tuned UI elements, typography, colors, and interactions, ensuring Warewolf was not just functional but also visually cohesive and engaging. Through multiple iterations, we optimized the usability and aesthetics, refining every detail to create an intuitive and modern user experience.
Seamless Collaboration: How We Kept Warewolf in the Loop Every Step of the Way
At Denovers, we don’t just design—we co-create. Warewolf was involved in every phase of the design process, ensuring transparency and alignment from start to finish.
🔹 Weekly Syncs on Google Meet: We held regular check-ins, presenting our research before moving forward. Their validation shaped our direction.
🔹 Loom Video Walkthroughs: Every design iteration came with a detailed Loom video explaining our thought process. Warewolf reviewed and shared feedback, and we swiftly implemented changes.
🔹 A True Partnership: Our flexible, iterative, and collaborative approach ensured rapid delivery, continuous improvement, and adaptability—hallmarks of an exceptional design experience.
With this methodology, we didn’t just meet expectations—we exceeded them.
Now, let us walk you through some of the main flows we designed.
Warehouse Listing: A Command Center for Inventory at a Glance
From the moment users log in, they step into a dashboard designed for clarity. Every warehouse under their management is listed with key performance metrics displayed in smart, easy-to-read cards. These include:
- Warehouse Name – Instantly identify locations.
- Stock Count – Know what’s in store
- IRA Percentage – Assess inventory reliability at a glance.
But we didn’t just display data. We made it actionable by ensuring users can edit warehouse details directly. This way, real-time updates can be made without navigating multiple screens

Warehouse Main Screen: A Smart Lens into Inventory Management
Managing warehouses includes tracking, analyzing, and optimizing stock flow. We redesigned the warehouse main screen to work like a control hub for warehouse managers.
Smart Search and Scan – Users can set date ranges and scan inventory quickly. Intelligent search displays:
- System Count vs. Actual Count (with differences highlighted)
- Brand-based Search with visual cues.
- Virtual Warehouse Navigation – Inspired by Google Maps, we designed a moveable, zoomable digital warehouse view.
Bays : Smart Color Coding for Quick Decision-Making
e divided warehouse space into bays, enhanced with visual clarity:
- Green – Optimal inventory levels.
- Yellow – Running low, needs attention.
- Red – Dangerously low stock!
Border Indicators for Ongoing Tasks:
- Green Borders – Palette scanning is complete.
- Grey Borders – Scanning is pending.
Bins : A Deep Dive into Product Details
A single click on a bay unlocks an interactive side panel to show all bins stored inside. Users can click on any bin to get a detailed popup containing the following:
- Product Information: Name, code, count, and status.
- Stock Tracking: See exactly where items are stored.
- Condition Overview: Monitor product health and movement.
We ensured that managers get all the data they need without leaving the main screen by designing a smooth, pop-up-driven interface.

Analytics: Data-Powered Decisions
Warehouse managers see data as key efficiency elements rather than just numbers. That’s why we designed an interactive analytics screen that translates raw figures into actionable insights.
- API-Powered Insights – Real-time KPIs.
- Bin-Based Analysis – Location-based stock metrics.
- Expandable Tables – Clickable rows for product-level details.
- Advanced Filters – Search with precision.
Our UX-first approach ensures that analytics aren’t overwhelming but empowering.

Schedule Planner: Automation That Saves Time
Warehouse managers juggle hundreds of tasks daily. We knew that scheduling inventory scans shouldn’t be another burden.
With our Schedule Planner, users can:
- Schedule warehouse scans in advance.
- Select specific dates & aisles for scanning.
- Create subtasks for better organization.
We transformed this feature into a simple, table-based system, making scheduling as easy as filling in a form. No complicated setups, no unnecessary clicks—just seamless automation.

Results
Since implementing Warewolf, warehouse managers have now operated with newfound efficiency. Our UX-focused approach turned complex inventory management into an intuitive digital experience.
- Faster Decision-Making – Color-coded IRA & smart search reduced inventory lookup time.
- Improved Accuracy – Warewolf’s scanning & tracking features cut stock mismanagement.
- Increased Productivity – Automated scheduling saved managers 5+ hours per week.
